Lia Vittone
Lia Vittone is originally from Winter Haven, Florida, and graduated from Harrison School for the Arts in Lakeland, Florida in 2018 under Nationally recognized director Kristopher Ridgley. At Harrison, Lia was able to perform at State ACDA(American Choral Directors Association) in Florida, Southern Division ACDA in Chattanooga Tennessee, and National ACDA in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
In 2023, Lia got their bachelors degree from Florida Gulf Coast University in Music Education, where they have gotten the chance to perform at the Vatican in Italy with Dr. Trent Brown. They have also studied voice with Dr. Jeanie Darnell and Professor Karin White. They did their secondary teaching internship at North Fort Myers High School under Christina Koller, and their elementary teaching internship at Edison Park Creative and Expressive Arts Elementary School under Samantha O'Brien.
Lia has always been very passionate about music, and has a true love for teaching. During their time at FGCU, they have been a tutor for students taking Aural Skills I & II and Music Theory I & II.
Lia has had ample experience giving private voice lessons to ages 14-45 of various vocal types, and has directed choirs at all ages through their internships and Assistant Directing for a community choir run by Dr. Trent Brown called Choral Artistry.
Lia is a person that goes above and beyond for their students, and is constantly reading about teaching strategies in order to better teach their students. The passion held within this director is very difficult to miss, and it reflects in the students and their responsiveness to their enthusiasm and positive reinforcement during lessons.
